Celebrating Our Teachers: A World-Class Team Supporting our Students

Blog

As we recently marked World Teachers’ Day, it gave us a moment to pause and reflect on the incredible team of educators we’ve assembled in such a short time since opening our school. It’s truly inspiring to see how far we’ve come and how fortunate we are to have such a bright, experienced, and worldly group of teachers guiding our students.

Our academic team brings with them a rich tapestry of international experience. Many have come from all corners of the globe, and with that, they bring not only deep subject knowledge but also a genuine understanding of the international student journey. They know what it means to adapt to a new culture, to find your footing in a new environment, and to thrive in a new world. This empathy and insight make a real difference in the classroom and far beyond it.
Whether it’s helping students settle into life here, supporting them through cultural transitions, or inspiring them to reach for their dreams, our teachers are at the heart of everything we do. Their passion, dedication, and love of teaching shine through every day.

“We’re also thrilled to welcome Dr Omar, our new Bachelor of Business Administration Course Director, whose leadership and expertise will further enrich our academic offering. So, here’s to our amazing academic team, hats off to every one of you. Thank you for being the guiding lights for our students, and for helping them feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Take Five with Sabina Keppel: Why the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education is a Gateway to a Fantastic Career!

Blog

Welcome to Our First GDEC Cohort!

We recently welcomed our first cohort of Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education (GDEC) students at Lead Institute of Higher Education. To celebrate, we asked Sabina Keppel, our Course Director, to take five from her busy schedule and share why she believes this course is a fast track to a rewarding and impactful career.

Sabina brings a rich background in Primary, Early Childhood, and Adult Education. Her philosophy centres on education as a lifelong pursuit and a pathway to becoming the best version of oneself. She’s passionate about helping learners set their own goals and reflect on their journeys.

“The GDEC is designed for students who already hold higher education qualifications and are looking to move into a meaningful new career. Whether you’re coming from business, health, or the arts, this course offers a streamlined, accredited pathway into a profession that truly makes a difference,” said Sabina.

Five Reasons to Consider a Career in Early Childhood Education:

  1. Make a Lasting Impact Early childhood teachers shape the foundational years of a child’s life. The relationships and learning experiences you create can influence a child’s development for years to come.
  2. Fast Track to a New Career The GDEC is a focused, one-year qualification that equips you with the practical skills (including 60 days industry placement) and theoretical knowledge to enter the workforce quickly—ideal for career changers ready to make a move.
  3. High Demand, High Reward With growing recognition of the importance of early learning, qualified educators are in demand across Australia. It’s a career with strong job prospects and meaningful work.
  4. Diverse Career Pathways From classroom teaching to curriculum development, leadership roles, and policy work—this field offers a wide range of opportunities to grow and specialise.
  5. Join a Supportive Community Early childhood education is built on collaboration. You’ll join a passionate community of educators, families, and professionals all working together to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
