Academic Progress and Attendance Requirements at LIHE

At the Lead Institute of Higher Education (LIHE), we are committed to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring students receive the necessary support to achieve success in their studies. All students must meet the following academic progress and attendance requirements to remain enrolled in their course:

Academic Progress Requirements

  • Pass all core units.
  • Pass more than 50% of completed credit points in each study period, and participate in activities.
  • Maintain 80% attendance for face-to-face classes (where required).
  • Complete their course within the approved maximum period of completion (full-time duration plus 50%, up to a maximum of 4.5 years).
  • Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, unit outlines, and award requirements.

Intervention Strategies for Students at Risk

LIHE monitors student academic progress at the end of each study period. Students who do not meet progress requirements may be placed on Conditional Status or Monitored Status, requiring engagement with academic support services. The Institute provides intervention strategies such as academic skills support, course advising, and targeted assistance to help students improve their performance.

Graduation Eligibility

Students who meet all academic progress standards and course requirements will be eligible for graduation, as approved by the Academic Board and Governing Council. Graduation documentation is issued in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).https://www.aqf.edu.au/
